Construído em 1869 para ser o refúgio de Ludwid II, o castelo Neuschwantein inspirou Walt Disney a fazer um dos castelos mais famosos da história. O rei detestava sua moradia oficial, situada em Munique e, por isso, acabou endividado com seu castelo suntuoso. Após perder a soberania do próprio reino, Ludwig criou seu próprio mundo encantado. Entre os seis cômodos que ficaram prontos, dois salões chamam atenção. Um, com o nome de Salão dos Cantores, o curioso é que ninguém nunca cantou por lá, e o outro, Salão do Santo Gral que trazia sua paixão pela Idade Média com a técnica mais moderna da época, ele tinha até uma campainha para chamar seus servos. Os aposentos do rei, tinham detalhes góticos e referências as óperas de Wagner, como exemplo a pia que tem uma torneira em forma de cisne. Outra bela atração do castelo é a gruta que dá ilusão de estalactite. Se for viajar para Alemanha, Neuschwanstein certamente merecerá sua visita!
